3) Write about the last family meeting that you attended. As I had remembered vividly, the last family meeting I had with my extended family was in June last year. That was the day when my grandmother celebrated her seventieth birthday. To prepare for this occasion, my mother decided to prepare a big feast for the entire family. My sister and I thought that my mother was a good cook so we decided to observe her as we learn along. After approximately an hour, the food was ready and they looked delicious and smelt nice. My sister’s taste buds were tantalized upon smelling the delicious foods that my mother had cooked. Without hesitation, she tried some of the food and found them delicious and piquant. They were then packed to our grandmother’s house. Later on, our patriarch drove us there. The moment we stepped into the house, we were welcomed by our family. Some of our grandmother’s companions were also there to celebrate the event with my grandmother. As all of the generation was present, the whole house was over-crowded with dressed well guests. All of a sudden, we heard someone sniveling loudly. It was my cousin who mumbled that some conflicts between her sister and her happened. My grandmother then stood up questioning my cousin, “Since you are the elder sister, you should give in to your younger sister and not bicker with her.” After the conversation, my cousin seemed to realise her villainous and started to regret. My parents then realised they had been helping their siblings when they needed help since young. After the commotion, we realized it was time for dinner and our guests were beginning to feel famished. My mother un-wrapped the food she had brought and our kin was fascinated with the sight of the dishes. They were kept warm in the hot food flash container. We smacked our lips at the thought of the food. Almost everyone praised my mother’s cooking. We sang a birthday song for our grandmother and she was definitely overjoyed from the smile on her cheek. As the sky turned aphotic, it was late and it was time for us to return home. We felt that a family gathering was meaningful as it brought our relationship between relatives closer.
